System Dynamics — Model and Simulate Dynamic Systems

An AI picks up something new very fast; I wanted to see what that gives paired with a language I define myself.

• The starting conviction: defining a language (a DSL) is a fairly direct way to convey intent — and code is an efficient language. So DSL + AI seemed worth testing together.
• The thesis this project tests: you define a language, teach it to the AI via a skill, and get output tailored to the use case. Here, DSL → custom Mermaid model.
• The origin: born from a System Dynamics course taken online — the existing software being paid and, to my taste, unintuitive.
• The spec: simple, shareable, editable by hand or by AI.
• What it does: an AI skill to generate the diagrams, and a simulation of flows over time (stocks, flows, feedback loops).
